About
Hi! I'm Teri Webb.
I work with adolescents and adults with learning, language, and/or executive function challenges, and provide personalized, research-based strategies for skill remediation. Based on formal neuropsychological as well as informal assessments and information gathering, I design an individual goal-oriented treatment plan—an organic curriculum—against which I monitor progress as the client works to improve their academic, cognitive, social, emotional, executive function, and metacognitive skills.
The cornerstone of my practice is providing a supportive, trusting relationship with my clients, one that enables them to explore, ask questions, take risks and learn from their mistakes. As they build on their strengths and develop their skill sets, they come to an understanding of their unique learning style as well as their challenges, which in turn helps them to gain clarity about their needs and/or limitations.
I am certified by the Association of Educational Therapists, hence am bound by their code of ethics, continuing education, and confidentiality requirements. To obtain the AET certification, I completed a masters-level program in Educational Therapy at UCR. I am also a trained ADHD/Executive Function Coach, and have been working in this arena since 2011. I received my PhD at UCLA and spent a decade there conducting research on the correlations between media and real-world youth violence. I have extensive college-level teaching experience, and understand what it takes to succeed in school and life.
